Ok, so it's been a while since any one of us have blogged. Sorry, ok! We've got a lot of stuff going on and this sometimes gets lost in the shuffle.
That being said, the last two weeks have been, in my opinion, the best two shows we've done all year. In fact, I got multiple compliments from people saying how much we have improved and how much they enjoyed the show. We've been stepping up our game a lot I feel prep wise and production wise and I think all of us are much more comfortable on the mic.
Hopefully today we can continue the trend with strong show. I will be on the board today with production. I'm hoping to get some good highlights cut. Already got a good Alfonso Soriano highlight done that I think is pretty sweet. We'll see how it is recieved.
A lot on the docet today as usual. With the NBA and NHL playoffs going on there are a bunch of story lines there as well as a couple other topics of conversation that have come up in the last week i.e. what is the definition of true fandom.
Listen in today between 3-5pm central. Email us during the show at 4menwithmics@gmail.com or call if you want to go on air with us at 630-403-5200.

It's been a great week in sports and we had a great time discussing all of the excitement this past Monday. Clint was in Indianapolis for the college basketball national championship game, so we utilized his knowledge and passion for the college game to give us some insight on the atmosphere as he walked into Lucas Oil Stadium. And he thought he would get away from the show for a week!!
We were also excited to be broadcasting as the Cubs and Sox took the field as the MLB regular season got underway. Congrats to the White Sox for getting a win behind Mark Buehrle's record 8th opening day start for the squad. The Cubs on the other hand....have seen better days. Should be a fun summer in Chicago at Wrigley or at U.S. Cellular as it's always a blast.
All in all I thought the show went well. It was definitely one of our looser shows and was appropriately named "the show of digression" as we had a hard time staying on topic. Not to mention the commercials being lost somewhere and the fact that I saved some of our highlights in the wrong format so I couldn't play them.....not my best day on the board but we laughed it off and had a good time. I prefer a funnier show over a rigid one anyway so I had a good time.
We got the Masters coming up this weekend as Tiger returns, so i'm sure we'll have plenty to talk about come Monday afternoon for our next show.
Make sure you check us out this coming Monday on sportstownchicago.com. Email us during the show at 4menwithmics@gmail.com with comments and thoughts. I'll be driving the show so i'll do my best to keep your attention.

It's been a while!
Well we've been pressured to update our fantastic blog, so.....what's up?
We are in the middle, if not nearing the end, of one of the best times of the sports year - the NCAA Tournament winding down, spring training winding down, Opening Day winding up, A Tradition Unlike Any Other - The Masters - winding up, and the NFL Draft to close out the month. Hidden amongst all of that are the NBA and NHL Playoffs right around the corner! I personally like how all of these sports and events come to a head, and then we can just settle down with baseball for a few months before football, pro and college (although college football gets as much attention in this area as the Pacific Islander Lacrosse League), begin anew across the country.
With that said, you can bet your bottom dollar that 4 Men will be covering and discussing each and every step along the way! We're on Monday's from 3 to 5 Central on www.sportstownchicago.com! Email us before, during, and after the show at 4menwithmics@gmail.com and let us know what you're feelin.

Monday December 21st Show!
Hey everyone! On Monday shows, we'll discuss the impact of the Saints losing at home (something I personally thought would not happen); whether the Cowboys are worth buying into with the big win; and if the Colts will even attempt to go 16-0 or will they rest starters? Also, we'll discuss Texas' big win over North Carolina in JerryWorld Stadium, Duke's thrashing of Gonzaga in the Garden, the beginning of bowl season, the NBA and NHL heating up, and much more! Don't forget that we want to hear YOUR voice - email us: 4menwithmics@gmail.com, or call us live on the show (we'll give you the number on the show cause I forget it now!)! We'll talk to ya Monday from 3-5 Central!

Podcast Uploaded!
We just uploaded our podcast from our 3rd show! Check it out at www.sportstownchicago.com, then click on "On Air", find any of our bios (Alec, Clinton, Lucas, and Frank), and you'll see the podcast there at the bottom. This week, we posted the epic discussion of which team was better - the 1992 Dream Team, or the 2008 Dream Team? Needless to say, it was quite the debate! Don't forget to check us out again EVERY Monday from 3 to 5 Central on www.sportstownchicago.com!

First Show in the Books!
Hey loyal listeners,
Clinton here - I personally wanted to slap up a post about our first show! It was really fun to be on the air for 2 hours talking sports w/ Alec (who did a terrific job hosting the show), Frank (great job on the board), and Lucas (fantastic job looking up stats, contributing, and running the board), and I certainly look forward to our next show already. Again, PLEASE drop us an email - 4menwithmics@gmail.com - or comment on here! We love that we had a lot of people listening to our show and we want to hear what you guys think of us (just be nice), the show, our topics, you name it.
On Monday, November 30th, we will discuss our Thanksgivings and how much football we got to watch before the tryptophan kicks in; the rest of the NFL games; Big 12, ACC, and SEC conference titles games; and many other topics sure to pique your interest! Tune in 4-6 Eastern, 3-5 Central, on www.sportstownchicago.com!

Welcome to the Show
Today we got the "OK" to get the show on the road next week. Let me first introduce the 4 gentleman who will be gracing you with the primitive banter that is sports talk. Our show is called 4 Men with Mics, and includes 4 Co-hosts from very different backgrounds, but with a few major common interests: Lucas Frisbie, Alec Campbell, Clinton Oftedahl, and Frank "the quintessential stud muffin" Rodriguez will be the creators, producers, and talent of a show that is centered around all sports both local and national. We are all currently enrolled at the Illinois Center for Broadcasting, a 10 month program designed to help students get hands on experience in radio and television broadcasting. The four of us have come together because we all have a great love for sports and a passion to hone the craft of broadcasting. Not to mention, it's the most suitable medium for getting people to listen to us blabber. Please listen in every Monday afternoon between 3 and 5. Email us at 4menwithmics@gmail.com with comments or questions. After all, it is you, the listener, who ultimately makes this possible for us. We will provide a phone number for you to call in as soon as we know it by memory. Please enjoy the show and thank you again for listening!
